My cold has killed my appetite, so I played with this. These are some of the crazy people I work with, and yes, they would totally do this in real life! And no, I am not in there….there’s only room for 5 elves and besides, who do you think did the choreography?!! LOL…

I have a cold…generously shared by my youngest son who is now feeling much better. While I wallow in Puffs Plus and Sudafed Cold PE. I’m still at work though!
It’s raining today - a surprise as there was no rain in the forecast…though I suppose the weatherman covered himself by stating “partly sunny”. This must be the part that’s not sunny. That must be a nice, secure job!
Jenny has me doing the “Week in the Life” series. Need to take more photos than I have been, but all in all (okay, it’s only day 2 here) I’m doing good. Keep thinking positively I say!
And why do most of my paragraphs end in an exclamation? Must be because I mean it?!!
Back to work folks…they don’t pay me to sit and blog all day. LOL. . . (see, there…I didn’t use an exclamation mark - but I do like hyphens and … so, look out! Oops, I did it again. )

Amish Friendship Bread Starter

That’s it. That’s all I’ve got… I thought last week couldn’t get worse, but it feels like this week might just try and top it. At 8:30pm I took the dog out and really considered just crawling in my nice soft, warm bed for the night (it’s in the 50’s here at night).
It’s really not a bad idea…
Been following some of the blog links Jenny has shared over the last few days and it spurred me on to get some fall-cleaning done. Florida is weird this way - seems like we’re backwards from most of the country because of our weather…Summer has us indoors due to the unspeakable heat and humidity and in Fall we feel the real swing in temps plus the holidays are coming up fast! Anyway…tackled the patio and living room today. Not quite done with the living room because of all my crafting “stuff”…it just won’t all fit in the spare room. Time to pare down and lighten the scrapping “inventory”. Ebay, here we come!
Found some very neat stuff at the thrift store these past few weeks. Need to take some photos to share…old aprons, blue (of the robin’s egg variety) Pyrex, tiny glass bottles and owls. Sigh. Yes, owl salt & pepper shakers, owl figures (ceramic, brass, wood, and alabaster), and teeny owl thimbles. Someone must have gotten rid of a collection or their from an estate but it was all left at one of the thrift stores and I hit it just right. Oh, and I hid a couple of pieces until payday…a Pyrex low sided casserole dish that’s “my” blue with snowflakes, and a “my” blue serving bowl - no brand name, but the color is perfect! Isn’t that bad?! LOL…
Anyway, had dinner with “T” tonight. That’s always fun…we get caught up on life and just enjoy hanging out. He says he’s coming over tomorrow to use the computer - download songs to his phone, fill out some job applications. Hopefully, he’ll be taking his GED test Monday/Tuesday and getting that crossed off his list.
Getting in the mood to sew/quilt…thanks Mom! And make some things for gifts this year. Simple things…but handmade. Thinking of opening an etsy shop too…a way to keep up with my various crafts and earn a bit of money as well. Maybe even do some “trash to treasure” with my thrift store finds…taking them from “bleh” to WOW! A thought…. oh, and speaking of…through a link on a link to another link, I found this:

my apologies…sometimes life gets busy and hectic but in a more emotional way. and it takes a bit to wind through all the drama to get to the heart of things, deal with it, and then let it go. it’s those times that i tend to fall off the radar as far as blogging and other social activities go. time to hang out in my cave to regroup and recharge. so, if you don’t hear from me, it’s just one of those times…nothing personal - promise! i feel a deep fall cleaning coming up too…after the place being all closed up all summer to run the a/c, it’s finally been cool enough lately to open all the windows. kind of the opposite from all you northerner’s isn’t it? yeah, the place is driving me crazy…time for deep cleaning, shampooing the carpets, repainting the walls (uh, maybe not on that one), rearranging furniture, throwing out and donating, maybe even some ebaying… grrrr, the clutter!
